Chatzfest first began in 2009 to encourage and foster the amazing talents of the young people in Chatswood. It is a joint Short Film Festival organised by the North Harbour Learning Community; Chatswood High School, Chatswood Public School, Castle Cove Public School, and Mowbray Public School.
Chatzfest 2016 was held at the Hoyts Cinema in the Mandarin Centre at Chatswood on October 26th. Thank you to the management team at Hoyts for allowing our students to see their work on the “big screen”. The winning senior entry (years 10 – 12) was ‘Achievements’ by Danny Won, Gabriel Aravena Brogan, Takumi Iwasa, Flora Li, and Harrison Chong. The runner up was ‘Going Up’ by David Muir. The winning junior entry (years 7 – 9) was ‘Mis-Click’ by Justin Lou. The junior runner up was ‘Mock Parliament Documentary’ by Jonathan McKitrick.
