Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C)
Our Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) is made up of parents and carers, teachers and community members. The P&C meets regularly to contribute to decision-making, developing policies and management plans as well as fundraising.

Counselling for families
The school counsellor can assist when families undergo a trauma or big change. Contact us to make an appointment. For information in community languages, see school counselling service.
Outside of the education system, free telephone counselling services are available to support families who may be going through a difficult time.

Parent and community participation is highly valued at Chatswood High School. There is the opportunity to join various committees, to volunteer services and share expertise, and to be involved in a wide variety of activities through the P&C Association. The Chatswood High School P&C Association aims to support the school through financial and practical assistance and through input to, and support of, school policies and the school's strategic plan.
General Meetings are held twice a term at 7.30 pm in the Learning Space. P&C Meeting dates. Meetings provide a forum for discussion of School events, policies, requirements, etc and are normally attended by the Principal and often also by guest speakers from the school staff.
P&C Membership is open to all parents and caregivers of students of Chatswood High School, and to all citizens, resident within the current school district. A subscription of $2 is payable for Membership. The P&C derives its income from Parent contributions and Fund Raising events as well as administering a tax deductible Building Fund.

Parent Participation
Involvement can range from being on a committee to helping out occasionally. Some examples of P&C Committees are Fundraising, Uniform or Canteen. If you are interested in helping in any of these areas, we'd love to hear from you. Interpreting and translations
We will help you communicate with our school. If you’d like an interpreter for a school meeting, let us know and we will arrange one, if available.
If you don’t speak or understand English well and want to contact us, call TIS National on 131 450 and ask for an interpreter in your language. The operator will call the school and get an interpreter to help. This service is free.
