Year 6 into Year 7 Mainstream Enrolment
If your child is currently enrolled in Year 6 in a public primary school, and you wish to apply to enrol in our school in Year 7 of the following year, contact the Year 6 Coordinator at your current school to obtain an "Expression of Interest" form to complete and return to them. The primary school will forward the information to us and we will contact you once a decision has been made about your child's potential enrolment, and next steps.
If your child is currently enrolled in Year 6 in a non-government primary school, and you wish to apply to enrol in our school in Year 7 of the following year, contact us to obtain an 'Expression of Interest' form to complete and return to us. Year 7 2024 Mainstream Enrolment
Chatswood High School is only able to enrol students that are currently living within the school's intake zone. Year 6 students who have an older sibling currently enrolled at Chatswood High School in Year 7 to 11 must live within the school's intake zone to apply to enrol.

Year 7 to 11 2023 Mainstream Enrolment
Parents must bring the required documentation in person to the school office. Please see link below for Document Requirements for considersation of enrolment.
Enrolment staff are available 9am - 2.30pm school days. When all the required enrolment documents have been submitted and processed, an enrolment interview with a Deputy Principal will be arranged to finalise the enrolment application.
Currently, we are only able to enrol mainstream students who are living in our intake zone.

Temporary residents may be enrolled at a school if the school can accommodate the enrolment. If a school is at capacity, temporary residents must be referred to the next available school/s that can accommodate the enrolment.
Unfortunately, Chatswood High School is unable to enrol any temporary residents as we are at enrolment capacity.

International Students
Unfortunately, Chatswood High School is unable to enrol any International students as we are at enrolment capacity.
DE International is responsible for the enrolment of International Students in NSW government schools and administers the following programs:
- International Students - HSC Graduate Program (visas 571P and 500P)
- Temporary Resident Program (TRP) - students on Visas other than 571P or 500P including dependents of both 500P visa holders and guardian 590P visa holders

Gifted and Talented
Chatswood High School has a proud tradition of gifted education and offers a Selective stream and a Gifted and Talented class in response to the Department of Education and Community's priority policies on Gifted and Talented Children and Accelerated progression. Positions in the Gifted and Talented class are highly competitive and the application process will include testing. These positions are only available to our local area students. This program serves a need of challenging talented students in a local co-educational setting. In addition, it provides added dimension to our aim of providing each student with an excellent academic, cultural, social and physical education.
It is important to note that placements in this class are maintained on the basis of academic performance and students may be moved from this class at any time. This may be for individual subjects or all subjects if a high academic performance is not maintained.
Applications for our Gifted and Talented class in Year 7 next year will open on Monday 7 August 2023. Invitation letters and the Application Form will be sent to all current Year 6 students who reside in our local intake area and have submitted an ‘Expression of Interest’ form (EOI) through their primary school or at our school office. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 30 August 2023. Students will be required to sit an entrance test and this will take place on Tuesday 10 October 2023 at Chatswood High School.

Selective Stream
Applications for our Selective stream Year 7 are made through the High Performing Students Unit. The applications close November two years prior to Year 7.

Selective High School placement test date is 4 May 2023. Placement outcomes are expected to be released mid-August 2023.

Years 8 to 11 Selective Enrolments 2024
Applications for enrolment into Years 8 to 11 Selective classes in 2024 are expected to open on 20 June 2023 and close on 21 July 2023.
The Application form will be available HERE when applications open. If required, a paper copy is also available from the school office from 20 June 2023.
The number of available places at Chatswood High School in Years 8 to 11 is extremely limited and there are usually many more applicants than places available.

- DO NOT EMAIL APPLICATIONS All application forms and the requested additional documents must be submitted in person at the school office.
- ENTRANCE TEST All applicants are required to sit the entrance test at Chatswood High school on the date advised below.

There is no change for students already attending Chatswood High School in 2021.
