Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

The Chatswood High School Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program requires students in years 7 to 12 to bring their own portable computing device to school everyday with the aim to support and enhance their learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.

Chatswood High School provides considerable freedom to students in their choice of technology and in their use of technology in the classroom. The school does so with the expectation that they will make good decisions with regard to their personal use of technology.

Please be aware that your child's chosen BYOD must meet the minimum specifications, as outlined in the BYOD Specifications

Mobile Phones

Chatswood High School has updated its mobile phone policy in line with the NSW government's ban on phones in public schools, effective Term 4, 2023.

From now on, students will not be permitted to use their phones during school hours.

However, there are some exceptions for legitimate reasons - such as using a medical device that has been approved by the school.

Phones must be switched off and stored until the end of the school day.
