Applications for our Selective stream Year 7 are made through the High Performing Students Unit. The applications close November two years prior to Year 7.

Selective High School placement test date is 9 May 2024. Placement outcomes are expected to be released late-August 2024.

Selective Student Enrolments Years 8 to 11 in 2026
Applications for entry in 2026 are now closed and will open in June 2025 (Date TBC) and close in July 2025 (Date TBC).
Applicants are to submit their Application Form via the online link below which will be available when applications open.

Chatswood High School is a partially Selective High School with a maximum of 60 Selective students enrolled in each Year group.
The number of available places at Chatswood High School in Years 8 to 11 is extremely limited and there are always many more applicants than places available.
If your son or daughter wishes to apply please read the following information:
- TO UPLOAD APPLICATION AND ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS (Applications are now closed)
- Additional Documents Please upload the following documents in pdf format with your application form: 2025 Semester 1 school report, 2024 Semester 2 school report and most recent NAPLAN Report (2025 or 2024)
- Entrance Test All applicants are required to sit the entrance test to be held at Chatswood High school on (Date to be confirmed - August 2025) commencing at (TBC). COST (TBC)
- Entrance Test Payment Link A payment link to pay the test fee will be included in the Receipt of Application email sent to all applicants after submitting their Application form. Payment is due no later than (Date TBC).
- Citizenship Requirement All applicants must be Australian/New Zealand citizens or holders of a visa granting Permanent Residency status in Australia.
- Closing Date for all applications - (TBC).
