Year 6 into Year 7 Mainstream Enrolment
In NSW government schools, applying to move from primary school to high school is a 2-step process that starts with an Expression of Interest. Visit the moving to high school page to learn more about the process.
Chatswood High School is currently only able to enrol students who are living within the catchment area determined by the Department of Education. Please check if your residential address is in our catchment area for 2026 using the NSW Public School Finder.
To submit an enrolment application at Chatswood High School
If the student is currently living within our catchment zone, please read the following information below carefully:

Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents must submit an online enrolment application. Before submitting an online enrolment application PLEASE NOTE the following information:

ALL required documents MUST be uploaded to the online enrolment application form under ‘Section 10- Supporting Documents’

Failure to do so will lead to your application being WITHDRAWN. You will then need to complete and re-submit the online enrolment application AGAIN. To prevent your application from being withdrawn, please do not submit your application until you have ALL required documents and are able to attach it to the application.

You must submit 100 points proof of residency based on the schools required documentation list. If you do not provide 100 points (or more) your application will be WITHDRAWN.
- NOTE: The online application form only allows you to upload a maximum of 5 files per section. Please ensure that each proof of address document you upload is ONE file only. E.g. do not upload your driver’s licence back and front as two separate files, as you will not be able to upload the remaining required documents.
- If you need to upload more than 5 proof of address documents, you may upload the extra documents under the “student’s immunisation history statement” section.
For all enrolment applications, the school may ask for additional documentation or for the family to come into the school to finalise the enrolment documentation.
When all the required enrolment documents have been submitted and processed, an enrolment interview with a Deputy Principal will be arranged by the school to finalise the enrolment application.
